With the latest data, we now understand the vital link between gender, social equity, and climate change, and recognize that without gender equality today, a sustainable future, an equal future, remains out of reach.

Women and girls experience the greatest impacts of the climate crisis as it amplifies existing gender inequalities and puts women’s lives and livelihoods at risk. Across the world, women depend more on, yet have less access to, natural resources, and often bear a disproportionate responsibility for securing food, water, and fuel and out of reach.

Across the world, women depend more on, yet have less access to, natural resources, and often bear a disproportionate responsibility for securing food, water, and fuel.

As a company ( Meghee), we are flipping the coin by looking at the positives. We want to appreciate what our women are doing in the family, leadership positions, and society at large.

FAMILY.

Women over the years have been tasked with the responsibility of keeping the family together. While the man is present or absent, they have continued to be the ones that stood out and are seen as the role model for the children of that family.

Today we recognize the impact they have had on the family and appreciate them for keeping it together.

LEADERSHIP.

We have seen women conquering the status quo and rising above the stereotype. There has been a massive increase in women that have been occupying leadership positions. These have not only encouraged more women to aspire for leadership positions but to also bring in a fresh approach in their chosen niche.

We hope that as we celebrate this year’s international women’s day, more women will rise to leadership in our society knowing that they have what it takes to cause a great positive change.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

It’s no longer news that most of the multinationals that we love and celebrate today are championed by women. The presence of women in one capacity or the other in these organizations has led to a great change in their affairs.

As we celebrate women today, we want them to know that we recognize the job they are doing in building sustainable businesses that have provided jobs for our young school leavers and those who seek to build a career in their chosen fields.

As a company, we say a big thank you to all our women and we are encouraging them to believe more in themselves as they aspire to achieve more and make a greater impact, and continued to imbibe knowledge into our young ones.

Thank you for the job you are doing, let’s break the bias.
